Findings
I feel that my research skills were quite weak.
Initially, when I had to search for specific topics, I often encountered a lot
of irrelevant information. To address this, I started improving my keyword
searches and using specific websites. By the time I needed to find academic
papers, I found it much easier.
Additionally, my English is not very strong, so I had to constantly use translation tools while writing. Over time, I developed a habit of overcoming this difficulty. Now, I rely on them less, which I think is a good improvement. Despite making many mistakes, at least I am writing in my own words, as Anis suggested.
Observation
I noticed that using the right tools for finding
relevant content is crucial. It can significantly reduce unnecessary steps and
save a lot of time. Moreover, the feedback from teachers is extremely
important as it helps identify and correct mistakes promptly.
Experience
Although this module is not very difficult, it
requires a lot of time to read and gather information. However, once you
master the method, it becomes much easier. My time management skills still
need improvement, as I often complete tasks at the last minute. Despite my
poor English, I had to write a lot, and due to my limited vocabulary, I
frequently repeated words. However, this repetition eventually helped me get
used to it.
What did you learn?
I have learned many things, such as better
utilizing tools, writing content in my own words, improving my research
skills, and managing my time more effectively.
What challenges occured?
My English is quite poor, making it
difficult to describe what I want to say accurately. My research skills are
not strong enough to find the desired content quickly. Additionally, my time
management is poor, often resulting in completing tasks at the last minute.
How did you overcome them?
Using the simplest English, along with
a dictionary and translation tools, I learned to use keyword searches and find
relevant content. Planning my schedule is essential.
Regarding the survey, I struggled to find people over 60 for interviews. I faced many rejections but kept trying. Finally, I went to the school library and asked people to fill out my survey form. Looking back, it was a very bold and brave move.
